Short description

The group aims to improve outcomes for patients who suffer from various musculoskeletal injuries, with primary focus on sports-related knee injuries. Our research primarily focuses on the evaluation of objective and subjective measures in patients with different musculoskeletal injuries to generate new knowledge that can be applied in clinical practice and rehabilitation.

The group studies recovery after various types of musculoskeletal injuries, with primary focus on sports-related knee trauma. The group uses both objective and subjective measures to assess patient outcomes. The group gathers data from clinical tests, patient-reported outcome measures, and registry-based evaluations. The research is conducted from a bio-psycho-social perspective, where psychological biological and functional measures are taken into consideration and explored. The group aims to translate findings into clinical practice and rehabilitation, improving return-to-sport and physical activity rates and reducing re-injury risk to ensure sustainable physically active lives. The group continuously assesses new ways to evaluate patients, both objective and subjective to move the frontline of rehabilitation forward. The group also works actively to bridge the gap between research and clinical practice.
