Children’s and young people’s participation in democratic processes

From a critical age perspective, I investigate various phenomena where children's and young people's right to participation is expressed and negotiated. I study age norms and adulthood and how different types of age-related regulations have historically functioned socially and politically as a way of structuring and organizing society.
