SCC-researchers in large collaboration within cancer research – for better medicines and diagnostics

With the starting point within research from Sahlgrenska Cancer Center at University of Gothenburg and Sahlgrenska University Hospital, Vinnova and Region Västra Götaland invests large in a collaboration project which will improve the care for cancer patients. Both companies and healthcare are part of the project, which is lead by the research institute RISE and has a total budget of SEK 44 million.

Göran Landberg and research colleague Anders Ståhlberg at Sahlgrenska Cancer Center, have together developed a diagnostic test which makes it possible to decide, beforehand, which medicines will give the best effect for single patients.
