New article by Veiderpass and McKelvey evaluating performance of European universities in the journal Applied Economics

Published

Comparing and contrasting the performance of universities in terms of education and research is difficult to do. This article does so. Using novel European data, this new article is able to evaluate performance of universities (or higher educational institutions) across 17 countries. The results indicate a positive relation between efficiency and size as well as a positive relationship between efficiency and research intensity. Applied Economics has just accepted this new paper by Veiderpass and McKelvey. The full title is "Evaluating the performance of higher education institutions in Europe: A non-parametric efficiency analysis of 944 institutions"
