CERGU promotes cross-disciplinary research on a broad range of European issues, but there are certain thematic areas in which we currently have a stronger profile. These areas include Cultural Borders and Identity, Migration, Global Europe, Societal Challenges and Actors, and EU Institutions. These themes are described in more detail on the CERGU webpage.
CERGU welcomes research that is situated in, but also collaborates with the fields of humanities, social sciences, as well as economy and law. Applicants are asked to explain how their proposed research can benefit from, and/or contribute to, the CERGU-environment as a whole and our specific thematic areas in particular.
