A total of SEK 100 million to University of Gothenburg for cancer research

The Swedish Cancer Society is awarding nearly SEK 630 million for cancer research during the next year. Of this amount, nearly SEK 100 million is going to the University of Gothenburg, of which Jonas Nilsson at Sahlgrenska Cancer Center will receive around SEK 10 million.

In this year's call for grant proposals from the Swedish Cancer Society, several research projects from Sahlgrenska Cancer Center receives research grants. The largest grant, a total of around SEK 10 million in project grants and increased funding, goes to Jonas Nilsson for his research with the aim to find new treatments of patients with

Other researchers at Sahlgrenska Cancer Center who received research grants from this year's call for grant proposals are David Bryder, Changyan Chen, Kristoffer Hellstrand, Khalil Helou, Peter Naredi, Göran Stenman, Karin Sundfeldt and Pierre Åman.
