Citizen science is scientific research that is entirely or partially conducted by citizens, often in collaboration with or supervised by professional researchers.

The aim of the workshop is to give a general introduction to citizen science, with examples from tourism, experiences and other areas. The workshop will also include a guided brainstorm on project ideas.

Moderators of the workshop are Sven De Boeck and Floor Keersmaekers, research outreach officers and trainers from the Citizen Science Contact Point at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB), member of the EUTOPIA university alliance.
