Together, We’re Less Lonely

Culture and languages

A concert featuring students from the Bachelor’s program Improvisation Performance. At the intersection of listening, communication and spontaneous musical expression, something unique emerges – something that can only happen in the present moment. This concert is the result of an ensemble course centred on improvisation, in which the French word ‘ensemble’ takes on a dual meaning: both the group and the act of being together.

Led by Anders Hagberg, Professor of Musical Interpretation, seven improvisational musicians take the audience on a genre-defying journey through rhythmic and melodic landscapes. The repertoire ranges from innovative interpretations of joik and chorales to contemporary compositions by leading jazz musicians – drawing on influences from both Nordic and global traditions.

An evening where listening is just as important as the sound, and where the music is allowed to emerge in the moment – together.
