On board, you will meet researchers and crew members and follow the work taking place on one of Sweden’s most advanced research vessels. The mission for the evening is to investigate the environmental status of the Port of Gothenburg and see how the area has changed following previous environmental measures.

During the tour, a CTD rosette will be used, an important instrument for studying the marine environment. Sediment samples may also be collected, which can provide clues about how the harbour environment has changed over time.

Researchers on board will talk about the sampling, the results, and the future of marine research.
