About Agnes Faxén

The ocean – and everything that happens beneath the surface – is my greatest passion. That’s why I work as a communications officer at the Skagerak Facility, part of the University of Gothenburg’s marine research infrastructure. R/V Skagerak is one of the centrepieces of the Skagerak Facility, and I find it truly exciting to be involved in communicating about this state-of-the-art research vessel, as well as the many expeditions and field-based courses taking place on board.(Read more on our website: Skagerak Facility, and follow us on LinkedIn.)

Previously, I worked as a communications officer at the School of Business, Economics and Law in Gothenburg, as a science reporter for Vetenskapsradion on Swedish Radio (P1), and for the science programme Vetenskapens värld on Swedish Television (SVT). I have also studied marine biology and journalism at the University of Gothenburg.
