About the lecture

From an interdisciplinary perspective we live in unprecedented times in which humans are dramatically changing life as we know it on this planet. In such era, called Anthropocene, what is the role of Sociology – and maybe even more important – what sorts of big new questions arise as matters of concern to be studied and engaged with?

Martin Hultman is a Professor in Sociology with specialisation in Science and Technology Studies (STS). His research is centered around issues of energy, climate and biodiversity where he conducts both critical and engaged scholarship in fields of gender, law, policy and economy.
