This year's final production with the musical theatre students: The musical Sweeney Todd is a story of revenge, love and madness in 19th-century London. It follows barber Benjamin Barker, who returns under the name Sweeney Todd after being wrongfully convicted and exiled. Driven by rage, he seeks revenge against those who ruined his life. Together with Mrs. Lovett, he turns his revenge into a macabre business idea.

The tragedy and inner struggles of the characters are portrayed through Stephen Sondheim's dramatic music, with intense choral parts and emotional ballads, and in the intricately humorous lyrics.  Among the many iconic numbers are ‘The Ballad of Sweeney Todd’, ‘The Worst Pies in London’, ‘A Little Priest’, ‘My Friends’, ‘Not While I'm Around’ and ‘Pretty Women’.
