“My studio space, and in fact, life in general feels like a cabinet of curiosities. I collect ideas and obsessions, never quite knowing how one thing may lead to another, as I respond to the world with all the wonders and horrors it contains. Curiosity and exploration are critical to my evolution as an artist. In this lecture, I’d like to share a few of the topics that fuel my work throughout the years, highlighting how they have developed as I examine them from different perspectives and in different mediums. There is always more to discover. I would also like to share how ordinary life, and the need to earn a living outside my artwork has brought new skills and perspectives into the work.”
