Information

The CeMEB Autumn Assembly 2026 is scheduled for October 13-15, and will be at Wallenberg conference center in Gothenburg this time. Please mark the dates in your calendar if you haven't already!

Part of this year’s Assembly will focus on population biology. We will discuss topics such as how to define a population, what effective population size actually means, and how it should, or should not, be used in conservation. We invite participants from all career stages and disciplines affiliated with CeMEB to share their work, exchange ideas, and connect with the broader CeMEB community. While part of this year’s meeting will focus on population biology, we of course also warmly welcome talks and posters on other topics related to marine evolutionary biology.

The conference and conference dinner are as usual free of charge. The deadline for registration is 31 August.

The Centre for Marine Evolutionary Biology (CeMEB) is a collaborative research network dedicated to advancing our understanding of evolutionary processes in marine ecosystems. If you are not yet a member, we encourage you to sign up here. After attending the Assembly, you will be granted membership.

The “CeMEB Award for Contributions to Marine Evolution” will also be presented during the assembly. The award recognises an early career researcher within the network who has made an outstanding contribution during the past year or years. You can read more about the award and nominate someone here.
