Team Researcher Support, Biomedical LibrariesAbout Sara Viklund
I am a librarian working at the Biomedical Library in Team Research support. My colleagues and I support researchers and doctoral students at Sahlgrenska Academy and Faculty of Science regarding various issues within searches, databases, publication and selection of journals, research data and reference management software.
I plan and perform searches for different types of reviews, mainly Systematic reviews. Much of the support researchers and doctoral students need when publishing is about reviewing suitable journals and avoiding unserious ones (sometimes also called predatory journals), which we provide in the form of teaching, presentations and consultations.
I also work specifically with research data at the University of Gothenburg (GU) within the fields of natural sciences and medicine. I review data descriptions and datasets before publication in the data repository DORIS, which is managed by the Swedish National Data Service (SND). I am part of the university's research data support team, which provides support and training to researchers and handles the development of university-wide research data issues.
