About Kristin Blom
About me I have a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in social work. Before I started my PhD studies, I worked as a social worker. I have mainly worked with young adults; in the social services, as an out-reach worker and as a school counselor. I am a PhD student since 2017.
My thesis concerns sexual consent and the aim of my dissertation is to explore different angles of sexual consent, from the perspective of young adults, focusing on their narratives of sexual consent (or non-consent). How young adults interpret, comprehend and communicate sexual consent is of interest. The thesis is qualitative and the empirical data is based on interviews with young adults between 16 and 21 years old.
