About Edvin Skaghammar
I am a doctoral student in public administration. My research concerns local political trust — how citizens view local democracy as a whole. I am particularly interested in why levels of trust vary between municipalities and between different groups of citizens.
My work is quantitative, primarily using survey and register data. A recurring question in my research is how trust is actually measured: what survey items capture, and how sampling and non-response affect the conclusions we can draw.
I teach on the bachelor's programme in the course Democracy and Welfare in a Multi-Level System. I also supervise theses at both bachelor's and master's level.
