About Ashish Kc

A physician and perinatal epidemiologist by training, associate Professor in Global Health and Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg. He has experience working as a clinician, program manager and technical advisor to United Nations and Non-Governmental Organizations for 12+ years. He served as lead advisor to the Ministry of Health for health sector reform and development of National plans. He has led several projects to validate tools, interventions and technologies and evaluated the implementation at scale. Has been a recipient of the Royal Swedish Academy, Swedish Institute of Global Health Transformation (SIGHT) for 2021, and has been awarded the Researcher Excellence Award (Oscar) 2021 by Uppsala University. Has mentored and supervised 5+ PhD students and 15+ Master’s in Global Health. He is an editor to PLOS One, PLOS Global Public Health, BMC Pediatrics and Maternal, Perinatal and Neonatology Journal. Has published 140+ peer-reviewed articles.
