About Anna-Karin Pettersson

Anna Karin Pettersson, PhD in Business Administration since 2015. She has worked at the University of Gothenburg since 2002. Prior to her academic carrier, she worked as an authorized public accountant. For several years she divided her time between the University and being an finacial reporting specialist in practice. Her strengths at the University are knowledge about accounting in practice, engagement with practice and interest in education.

Anna Karin teaches at all levels, from basic to master courses. A variety of topics are covered, including accounting theory, regulation, group accounting, valuation of assets, financial reports etcetera. In addition, she has administrative assignments within teaching, such as course coordinator and coordinator for a one-year master within advanced financial accounting. She has produced textbooks about IFRS and group accounting. In research, the interest is primarily empirical studies of accounting in practice.
