Funders and Partners
URBSEC encourages projects that include academics as well as professionals. URBSEC particularly seeks to facilitate projects that engage in stakeholder relevant knowledge production that reaches across sectorial divides. Crossing such divides in both practice and academia is essential in order to meet real world challenges in their complexity.
URBSEC partners contribute several forms of support, from expertise in consultation and collaboration to funding of projects. Permanent non-academic members of the URBSEC Steering Committee are the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MSB) and the Region Västra Götaland. In addition, URBSEC is supported by several other partners, and still further are continuously enrolled in relation to specific projects.
URBSEC receives support from the University of Gothenburg through the host department Sociology and Work Science, the Department of Applied Information Technology, the Faculty of the Social Sciences, and the School of Business, Economics and Law.
