Exchange Studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences
At the Faculty of Social Sciences, you can choose from a wide range of courses for exchange students in subjects such as psychology, environmental studies, communication and political science. Here you'll find information on how to apply, what to consider when choosing courses, and who to contact if you have questions.
Your course selection should primarily consist of courses offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences. Course places are limited, so make sure to choose backup options.
You must be officially nominated
Your application for exchange studies and exchange courses will only be considered if your home university has officially nominated you for exchange studies at the Faculty of Social Sciences, or at one of our departments, under an active exchange agreement.
How to apply for courses
As an exchange student at the Faculty of Social Sciences, you apply for courses through an online form, Sunet Survey. Detailed instructions will be sent to you by email after nomination.
Taking courses at another faculty
You may apply for one course offered by another faculty, usually 7.5 credits, or exceptionally 15 credits. Please note that you are not guaranteed a place.
In your learning agreement, you should give priority to courses offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences, since your exchange agreement is with the faculty or one of its departments.
Nordplus students
Students arriving through Nordplus agreements are primarily expected to take courses taught in Swedish. Please contact your host department coordinator for more information.
Course admission is not guaranteed
We cannot guarantee admission to specific courses. Some courses are very popular and the number of places is limited. We recommend that you choose backup courses in case your first choices are not available.
