First of all, congratulations to being admitted to the University of Gothenburg. During this webinar you will get a brief presentation about the university, but most important of all some information about the process of tuition fees, residence permit and registration.

1 May - Deadline paying tuition fee
Last day to pay the first tuition fee installment. Our recommendation is however to pay it as soon as possible after the admission results if you are applying for a residence permit. How to pay your tuition

9 May - Webinar: Student Life in Gothenburg
Our Student Ambassadors will give you an insight of what it is like to be an international student in Gothenburg. They will focus on social activities and how to make the most out of your time here in Gothenburg.

16 May - Webinar: Being a Student in Gothenburg - Practical Tips
During this webinar, our Student Ambassadors will give you useful tips and tricks on, for example, getting around the city, grocery shopping, thrift shops, setting up a bank account and what to pack when moving here.

14 June - Newsletter from Welcome Services
Before the summer holidays, Welcome Services send out a newsletter containing information about the Welcome Programme and other preparations for the travel and move to Gothenburg.

The following information and dates only apply if you have applied in the second admission round, with application deadline 17 April.
12 July - Admission results published (Selection 1)
The notification of selection results is published under your account on University Admissions.
21 July - Last day to reply to you admission offer
In this admission round you are required to accept or decline your offer through University Admissions.
27 July - Final admission results published (Selection 2)
The final selection result is published under your account on University Admissions. You don't need to reply.
Tuition fee payments
If you have applied in the second admission round and are required to pay tuition fee, the University will e-mail you information about payments.

1 August - Newsletter from Welcome Services
Information and registration links for the digital Welcome Programme is sent out to all admitted international students.
15-24 August - Arrival days and Welcome Programme for international students
More information will be published under Introduction Days.
28 August - The autumn semester starts
The official start of the autumn semester. Please note that some courses can start a bit earlier or later. Some faculties and departments also host welcome events the week before.

Social media groups for students
Facebook group
Our Student Ambassadors, together with Staff from Welcome Services, will post useful information and tips for studying in Gothenburg, and try to answer any questions that you may have. The group will also give you the possibility to communicate with future classmates and other international students coming to Gothenburg.

WeChat group
We have also created an official WeChat group for all admitted Chinese students to get connected with each other. Let's prepare the trip to Gothenburg together!
