About us

CHEGU is a ”centre without walls”. It provides a forum for researchers and students in health economics; it maintains and develops an international health-economics network; and it acts as a point of contact in relation to research councils and other external parties.

CHEGU was established by the Vice-Chancellor (Rektor) of the University of Gothenburg on 17 October 2011 in order to develop the University’ research capacity and competitive strength in the field of health economics. CHEGU’s objectives and organization were decided upon at the same time.
