Postdoctoral researcher, functional biodiversity
The Department of Marine Sciences is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in functional biodiversity and marine ecology. The position is part of a project on biodiversity as insurance for ecosystem functioning across scales in natural marine ecosystems. The work focuses on how biodiversity can help sustain ecosystem functioning in marine landscapes, and may include analyses of data on macroalgae, reef fishes and Swedish kelp forests.

Postdoctoral researcher, physical oceanography
The Department of Marine Sciences is looking for a postdoctoral researcher in physical oceanography. The position is part of the ERC Starting Grant project SOFIA and focuses on fine-scale ocean dynamics and vertical heat transport in the Southern Ocean. The work involves combining new satellite observations with high-resolution ocean data from gliders, uncrewed surface vehicles and ship-based platforms to understand how heat is transported between the atmosphere and the ocean interior.
