Ulla Carlsson has been elected to the board of ORBICOM - the international network for UNESCO professors

Ulla Carlsson, professor at the Department of journalism, media and communication (JMG) at the University of Gothenburg, has been a UNESCO professor of freedom of expression for a couple of years.

In December, 2017, she was also elected to the board of ORBICOM - the international network for UNESCO professors. 

The network consists of about 50 UNESCO professors and 260 associated members representing civil society, media and government. 

A large part of the world's countries are represented in the ORBICOM network in which Ulla Carlsson now represents Europe.

Other members of the board come from Peru, Mexico, Lebanon, Malaysia, Morocco, Nigeria and Canada.

The next board meeting will take place in Lima, Peru, in May.
