This is Environment for Development

Published

This is a film about the Environment for Development network. The EfD secretariat is hosted by the Department of Economics at the School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg. Meet our researchers and learn about the work we do.

The Environment for Development Initiative (EfD) is an international network of environmental economics think tanks. We strive to create domestic centers of excellence in research, policy interaction and academic training with a focus on environmental issues in the developing world. We have identified a number of gaps that need to be addressed in order to influence environmental policy. EfD aim to fill these gaps.

EfD was established in 2007 by the Environmental Economics Unit, Department of Economics at the School of Business, Economics and Law at University of Gothenburg. Currently, there are 12 EfD centers around the globe in: Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Central America, Colombia, Chile, China, Vietnam, India, USA and in Sweden.
