The Faculty of Humanities will be closed on the afternoon and evening of Tuesday 11 November 2025 due to a crisis exercise in cooperation with the Police, the Fire and Rescue Service, and the Ambulance Service.
The exercise will take place inside the Faculty of Humanities building, located at Renströmsparken behind Götaplatsen. It will not significantly affect the general public, but throughout the day there will be a noticeable presence of police cars, dog units, fire engines and ambulances in the area around Näckrosdammen and Renströmsparken.
For safety reasons, students and other visitors must leave the premises no later than 1 p.m. The nearest study spaces are available at the University Library, Renströmsgatan 4, although finding a seat there may be difficult on this day. The Faculty of Humanities will reopen as usual on Wednesday 12 November.
The exercise is part of a knowledge exchange between the Faculty of Humanities, the Police, the Greater Gothenburg Fire and Rescue Service, and SOS Alarm/Ambulance Service.
