Lisa Dinkler now assistant professor at Karolinska Institutet

ARFID researcher Lisa Dinkler has become assistant professor at Karolinska Insitute in Stockholm, Sweden.

Dr. Lisa Dinkler, who completed her PhD at GNC in 2020, has become assistant professor at the Department of Medical Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Karolinska Institutet. There, she is part of the Centre for Eating Disorders Innovation (CEDI), founded and led by Prof Cynthia Bulik.

During her 6-year post, Lisa will continue to focus on studying avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID) using epidemiological and twin designs as well as genome-wide association studies. Lisa is supported by the Swedish Society for Medical Research (SSMF), the Swedish Brain Foundation (Hjärnfonden), and the Mental Health Foundation (Fonden för Psykisk Hälsa), among others.

A large part of her work will be dedicated to the ARIES (ARFID Initiative Sweden) study, which investigates genetic and environmental risk factors for ARFID in children, adolescents, and adults. ARIES is funded by FORTE and will be launched in the autumn of 2023.
