CERGU researcher Anja Franck and CERGU PhD student Alexandra Bousiou have recently attended the Contested Borderscapes conference in Mytilene, Lesvos in Greece. Franck gave a presentation entitled "Survival And Predation In The Everyday Political Economy Of The Refugee Emergency In Lesvos" and Bousiou (whose co-author is another CERGU researcher, Andrea Spehar) presented the paper, "Governance responses to the “refugee crisis” at the gate of Europe: The case of Lesvos".
