G25 - National Gender Research Conference in Sweden
Members of the FUDEM Research School took part in G25, the sixth national conference for research in Gender studies, hosted by Mid Sweden University in Staare/Östersund on 21–23 October 2025.
PhD candidates Zeynep Kuyumcu, Gadea Méndez Grueso, Felicia Hägerbäck, and Birke Jessing Friedländer participated in the panel “From illiberal to feminist populism: far-right mobilization and feminist/left resistances across Brazil, Turkey, Spain and Sweden.” The panel explored gender, gender equality, and feminism in relation to far-right and anti-gender movements, as well as how strategies of resistance and political discourses shape the understanding of these concepts in different national contexts.
