The Craft Days biennial takes place from 6 to 10 May in the Västra Götaland region, and just as in previous years, HDK-Valand will be represented by both students and staff both on and off our premises.

Student exhibitions

Will we Survive?
Craft students specialising in ceramics, jewellery and textiles from HDK-Valand are exhibiting on the theme of ‘prepping’.

This Way
An exhibition by HDK-Valand’s Master’s students in Ceramic Art, Jewellery Art and Textile Art.

Jewellery Art Exhibition
Sixteen students from HDK-Valand’s Jewellery Art programme are exhibiting their works from floor to ceiling in the underground spaces at Galleri NSFW.

The Hephaestus research project invites you to a discussion on the intersection of craft and data through coiling techniques, data visualisation and digital fabrication.

Art historian Grace Lai discusses whether jewellery and art in general can be more than just decoration.

About Craft Days

The Craft Days biennial takes place from 6 to 10 May and aims to promote, strengthen and raise the profile of the contemporary craft sector in the Västra Götaland region. The event was launched in 2021 and is now held at over forty different venues across the region. The organisers are the Centre for Crafts in collaboration with Konstepidemin, the Textile Museum, Form & Folk, Not Quite and the Röhsska Museum. Craft Days 2026 is being held with the support of the Stena Foundation, the City of Gothenburg, the Västra Götaland region and the Wilhelm & Martina Lundgren Support Fund.
