Welcome to the exam exhibition by graduating BFA students in Fine Art.
In the exhibition Wish Me Luck at Galleri Konstepidemin, fourteen bachelorstudents present fragments of questions, fears, and hopes of our time. Here, Fortune-telling, AI rabbits, and collective happiness come together. Pigs fly, marionette puppets go to therapy, and a reel-toreel tape recorder runs in a loop. These scenes coexist with works that explore the impact of digitalization on our lives, how cultural heritage shapes identity, and how the body can be understood in relation to nature.
In a reality that seems increasingly unreal, there is a growing need for culture that resists and opens cracks to reveal other worlds. The exhibition encompasses both nostalgia and a sense that appearances can be deceiving, while also offering comfort in the creative power of the collective and in utopian scenarios where everyone can win. A degree exhibition is filled with tense anticipation, but the future is uncertain and the cards have not yet been dealt. Yet, with the audacity of a flying pig, the students step out anyway—defying the odds, resisting, and revealing alternative worlds.
So, cross your fingers, and wish them luck!
