The exhibiting artists came together through HDK-Valand’s international master’s programme in Photography, where their different languages, backgrounds and experiences became a shared resource. Despite approaching photography from different angles, they are united by a curiosity about the image as a form of expression and a desire to explore the possibilities and limitations of the medium.
The narratives in their works range from the personal to the speculative and political, and individual experiences open up reflections on such subjects as propaganda, the meat industry, and life after humanity.
