The films explore a rich variety of subjects; From teenage boys navigating masculinity and family secrets to communal living, migration, gambling addiction, the propaganda surrounding oil and petroculture, and the struggle of confronting racism in Sweden.
"Within our film programs, we cultivate an environment that encourages students to challenge conventions, take creative risks, and explore ideas beyond traditional industry frameworks. It is inspiring to witness how the students indeed dare to push boundaries, both formally and thematically, engaging deeply with complex societal and political issues. The result is a collection of films that are as daring in their form as they are in their content, reflecting a fearless commitment to innovation and critical inquiry."
Mirka Duijn, senior lecturer at the MFA in Film, on the graduating students.
