Till oss som kom efter displays a collaboration between the second year students at the bachelor program in Design at HDK-Valand, Riksarkivet and The Institute for Language and Folklore (Isof).
The design objects are based on a transcribed membership registration that lists 1 673 paying members of Gothenburg's Association for women’s suffrage (FKPR) between the years 1911-1920.Through design, the beholder gets an insight into events and people from Gothenburg who pushed the issue and were an important part of the introduction of women's suffrage in Sweden from 1921. Through different ways of materialising and visualising the theme, the design students have given the archival material a new life. This has resulted in the exhibition Till oss som kom efter - an homage to how the archive lets the women of yesterday speak to the women of tomorrow.
