Culture and languages

Welcome to an inspiration and networking event hosted by the master's programme in Embedded Design at HDK-Valand, University of Gothenburg.

Concert
Date
13 May 2026
Time
09:00 - 15:00
Location
HDK-Valand, Göteborg, Kristinelundsgatan 6–8

We welcome students, alumni, teachers, researchers, current collaborators, as well as public, private and third sector organisations to explore how design and contribute to sustainable transformation and organisational development.

During the event, you will listen to  insightful  keynote presentations  by Leap for Life (Halmstad), Founders Loft and Passalen  (Gothenburg).

You will also experience thought-provoking student projects that question status quo whilst suggesting ways forward. Importantly, you will also get time to network and engage in conversations about  how  design can be utilised in complex organisational settings to open new  perspectives  and  instil  alternative  ways of working.

The event is aimed at those who are:

  • students and alumni of the Embedded Design programme and Business & Design programme. Students from other programmes with an interest in the subject are also welcome
  • working in organisations that engage with – or are curious about – design for transformation, development and change
  • researchers and teachers with an interest in Embedded design
  • interested in exploring new collaborations between academia & practice

A more detailed program will be available soon.

We hope you will join us and contribute to the conversation about the role of design for transformation and organizational change.

More information about the Embedded Design programme

This program, part of GU’s Sustainability-Focused programmes, uses interdisciplinary collaboration to address today’s pressing societal challenges. We develop design skills that apply to corporations, institutions, public organisations, and society at large, crafting sustainable and lasting solutions in the form of artefacts, services, social interventions, or organisational redesigns.
