Abstract

The main purpose of this seminar is to share and receive feedback on my first study. The aim of the talk is for me to share my research and for you to critique it, so I can further elaborate and clarify the findings and conclusions, as well as situate it in a broader linguistic context. The study looks at the performance of Irish English in a play script in contrast to its movie adaptation through the lens of indexicality, authenticity  and Referee Design .
