Matilda Eriksson (guest visit CCHS December 2025), PhD student, University of Oxford and part of the Arts & Humanities Research Council-financed pan European collaboration research project 'Jewish Country Houses'.

From Individual Object to Public Memory: Using Provenance Research to Examine National Narratives

Examining how the provenance of objects and the usage of language shape individual stories and reflects institutional/national narratives and broader socio-cultural histories. 

Focus: Intersection of multiple national narratives and cultural identities/legacies found in objects/collections; How publications, documentation, inscriptions, and labels (language) shape interpretation of individual objects and beyond.
