About Saga Cambon

Saga works as a Program Coordinator at the Governance and Local Development Institute (GLD) and at Varieties of Democracy (V-Dem) at the Department of Political Science, University of Gothenburg. Before joining the University of Gothenburg Saga worked as a Project Leader at Gothenburg Center for Sustainable Development and led international research collaboration and events. She has a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a master's degree in Global Studies, both from the University of Gothenburg.

Main responsibilities

At GLD, she is responsible for planning and implementing conferences, workshops, and meetings; coordinating fellowship and short-term scholarship programs; as well as managing procurement and purchasing. She identifies new funding opportunities and assists with application processes. 

At V-Dem, Saga works with coordination, administration, budgeting, reporting, and management of research funding. She coordinates the team’s work, assists with administrative processes such as invoicing and procurement, and oversees interns.
