Saga Cambon works as Program Coordinator for the Governance and Local Development Institute at the Department of Political Science.
Saga works with the planning and coordination of GLD events and activities, including conferences, workshops, and meetings. She also manages international collaborator relations and the coordination of fellowship and short term grant programs at GLD. Saga is project lead for one of GLDs ongoing research projects: Competing Authorities in the Middle East and North Africa, which brings together an interdisciplinary group of scholars to examine how and when different authorities, both within and outside the state, shape political behavior and development outcomes in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
Before joining GLD, Saga worked as a Project Leader at Gothenburg Center for Sustainable Development and led international research collaboration and events. She has a bachelor's degree in International Relations and a master's degree in Global Studies, both from the University of Gothenburg.
