About Saga Cambon

Saga Cambon is Program Coordinator at the V-Dem Institute, Department of Political Science, University of Gothenburg. She is responsible for the overall coordination and day-to-day management of the V-Dem Institute's activities. Working closely with the Institute Director and Finance Officer, she coordinates operational planning, financial management, budget preparation and follow-up, reporting to external funders, and supports fundraising and grant development activities. Saga serves as a central point of contact for the Institute's international collaborations, working closely with funders, partner institutions, researchers, and other external collaborators. She also coordinates the recruitment and onboarding of staff, visiting scholars, and interns, as well as workshops, conferences, seminars, and a broad range of administrative processes. In addition, she contributes to organisational development and the implementation of the Institute's long-term strategic priorities.

Before joining V-Dem full time, Saga worked as Program Coordinator at the Governance and Local Development Institute (GLD), where she coordinated research collaborations, conferences, fellowship programmes, and grant-related activities. Prior to joining the University of Gothenburg, she worked as a Project Leader at the Gothenburg Centre for Sustainable Development, at Chalmers coordinating international research collaborations and events. Saga holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and a Master's degree in Global Studies from the University of Gothenburg.
