About Karin Silverin

I am a PhD candidate in Art History and Visual Studies. My dissertation focuses on contemporary olfactory art, specifically in relation to questions of interpretation and methodological development. Through phenomenology and affect theory I explore how sensation, affect and memory unfold between body and artwork, and how these dynamics can inform methodological approaches.
