About Joel Canderhed

Finance officer at the department of Marine Sciences.

Main responsibilities:

Project : Assisting with applications and contracts, budgeting, follow-ups, reporting, and monitoring of incoming reseach grants.
Responsible finance officer for the Kristineberg Center for Research and Innovation.
Generally helpful with Microsoft Excel and various other IT-related issues.

Research interests: During my master's studies, I was doing an internship with a project on the implementation of centralized school choice and its effects on house prices and segregation. My thesis focused on the health-economic effects of providing free ice grippers to the elderly. In terms of economic research, I am particularly interested in economic history and market design. I have a general interest in statistics and experimental design and enjoy pondering internal and external validity when reading scientific papers.

Degrees: Bachelor's degree in economics and a Master of Science in Economics.
