About Jan Rustemeyer

I am a PhD Candidate in Political Science at the University of Gothenburg since Fall 2023. My research interests are protests, democratization and contentious politics. In my dissertation, I focus on the demands of protests in authoritarian regimes.

Previously, I have worked at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University and for the NGO The Hague Academy for Local Governance. I hold a MSSc in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University.
