About Ewa Einhorn
Ewa Einhorn, visual artist and filmmaker. Her work moves between animation, drawing, documentary formats, artistic research and forms of play and games. She attended Vienna Art Academy, received her MA from Malmö Art Academy and attended the Whitney Independent Study Program in New York. Since 2009 she has collaborated with Jeuno JE Kim on the transmedia project Krabstadt, a fictional smalltown somewhere in the arctic where the Nordic Countries have sent their unwanted peoples and problems. The project has manifested as animated films, games, publications, public performances and a special issue of PARSE Journal.
Currently Einhorn is developing a public art project “Rosengård nya Allmänna Platser” (with Jeuno JE Kim and Oskar Koliander) commissioned by Malmö Stad Konstprogram (2026-30). The project consists of both temporal and socially engaged parts as well as permanent public sculptures, and deals with the question of flooding, both real and imagined.
