About Elliott Syrén
My main research projects examine the integration of newly arrived immigrants in Sweden from an applied microeconomics perspective, drawing on quasi-experimental variation from administrative data. In particular, I study how institutional settings, policy design, and the administrative decisions immigrants navigate shape labour market outcomes, human capital accumulation, and inequality, questions that speak more broadly to labour and public economics, particularly the economics of migration, (mental) health, education, and crime.
