About Catherine Paterson
Catherine is an artist and child culture designer with a special interest in community art practices and participatory design. She completed her education in Fine Art in South Africa and moved to Sweden to study Child Culture Design in 2019. Catherine started a child culture design studio, Lekkontoret (the Play Office), in 2020 and has since worked with public and private institutions all over Sweden on public art and participatory design projects. She aims to include children in the design process by using play as a method and tool for communication and expression across age groups.
