About Anna Eklind
Programme Director for the Bachelor’s Programme in Design / Lecturer
MFA in Design / Product Design, HDK – School of Design and Crafts.
Previously worked as an employed designer in the textile and wallpaper industry, with a focus on material development, pattern design, and the development of collections of woven and printed textiles as well as wallpaper for both public and private environments.
The pedagogical context has always appealed to me, and after assignments as a guest lecturer and external examiner, I took the step to become a teacher within the design unit at what is now HDK-Valand.
I have also worked as a teacher in textile art and have had assignement such as Director of Studies, Deputy Head of Education, and Assistant Head of Unit.
As Programme Director and lecturer, my goal is to create strong conditions for students’ learning and development. Through a well structure of teaching and progression within the programme, I aim to support students in finding their own path to knowledge and a deeper understanding of their subject and their future professional role.
