About John Hanson Högberg
John Hanson Högberg is a licensed clinical psychologist and PhD candidate at the University of Gothenburg, Department of Psychology, under the supervision of Kristina Berglund. His research focuses on substance use disorders, psychiatric comorbidity, and metacognition. Högberg has published in BMC Psychiatry (2025) and contributed to the Handbook of Substance Abuse and Addiction Psychology (2023). Clinically, he works at the LARO Clinic, Sahlgrenska University Hospital, providing psychotherapy, assessment, and group interventions. He is a member of the APEC research group.
