The Unit for Pedagogical Development and Interactive Learning (PIL) is a university-wide unit that aims to promote engaging teacher practice at the University of Gothenburg.
On 1 July 2026, the PIL Unit and the Unit for Academic Language (ASK) will be replaced by the new Unit for Academic Teaching and Learning (EAL). The new unit will assume responsibility for the courses in teaching and learning in higher education, which will be offered without changes during autumn 2026. The PIL Unit’s website will remain available during a transitional period, and the contact address pil@gu.se will also continue to function until further notice.
