Högre seminariet: Nordic Literary Genres as World Literature?

In this talk, Yvonne Leffler, professor in comparative literature at The University of Gothenburg, will present the ongoing work with a coming literary history of Nordic literature based on literary genre, Routledge Companion to Genres in Nordic Literature. Leffler will discuss some of the challenges with a literary history based on the concept of literary genre in order to catch and characterize specific features in Nordic literature, as well as to give a survey of Nordic literary history from the Middle Ages until today in relation to the history of European literature in general. For a zoom link, contact Katarina Leppänen the week before the seminar.
