How can I become an exchange student?

At the Sahlgrenska Academy you can take courses, participate in clinical placements or do your thesis projects during your exchange period. Please note there must be a formal exchange agreement between your home university and Sahlgrenska Academy in order for us to be able to accept you as an exchange student.

Incoming exchange student

Many exchange students at Sahlgrenska Academy will participate in clinical placements. If you have been accepted to take part in clinical training there are some important information to read through and some documentation of required vaccinations you must prepare.

Preparations for exchange students at Sahlgrenska Academy

In your first days in Gothenburg, there will be lots to do and absorb. But you don't have to be nervous; we have a great onboarding programme for all our international students.
